The City of Casper maintains Elevation Certificates for new construction or substantial development in the Special Flood Hazard Area.

The Elevation Certificate is an important administrative tool of the NFIP.  It is used to provide elevation information necessary to ensure compliance with community floodplain management ordinances, to determine the proper insurance premium rate, and to support a request for a Letter of Map Change (LOMC).

Any Elevation Certificates acquired for purposes other than new construction or substantial development (e.g. insurance rating or LOMC) do not involve the City of Casper and are not generally in our records.  The Elevation Certificate form is available at the link below.  For more information on Elevation Certificates or to see if one is on file in the City of Casper records, please contact Craig Collins at 307-235-8241 or ccollins@casperwy.com.
