City Council Candidate Information

Filing Dates: May 16^th - May 31^st

Interested candidates must file an “Application for Nomination by Primary” form with a non-refundable $25 filing fee by the deadline to appear on the Primary Election ballot. The City Clerk is the Municipal Elections Officer and assists municipal candidates with the filing of nomination applications. The Natrona County Clerk Elections Office certifies candidates, prepares ballots, and conducts the municipal elections.

There will be 5 Casper City Council seats filled in the November 2024 election. All seats are non-partisan.

·        Ward 1 - 2 seats

·        Ward 2 - 2 seats

·        Ward 3 - 1 seat

HOW TO APPLY

Step 1: Fill out your application by primary.

·       Click here to fill out the digital application.

·        Paper copies are also available at the City of Casper Greeter’s Desk at 123 W 1^st Street.

Step 2: Pay your $25 filing fee with City of Casper Customer Service.

·        By Phone at 307-235-8400

·        In person at 123 W 1^st Street

·        Hours are Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Step 3: File your application:

·        In person: Drop your application at the City of Casper greeter’s desk at 123 W 1^st Street

·        Email: [email protected]

·        Mail: City Clerk’s Office – 123 W 1^st Street, Casper, WY 82601

Applications must be postmarked before the filing close date of May 31, 2024, or emailed/dropped off by 5:00 p.m. on May 31, 2024. Your filing fee must also be paid before this time. Applications will not be accepted after these deadlines.
