HELP MAKE CASPER BUTT FREE
Everyone knows cigarette butts are litter. Butts that are flicked, dropped, or thrown on the ground don't disappear. Most cigarette filters are composed of cellulose acetate, a form of plastic which does not quickly decompose, meaning those butts stay where they are until someone picks them up or worse. Many cigarette butts are washed down storm drains. Since stormwater is untreated, those butts end up in the North Platte River where wildlife can mistake the butts for food. Butts dropped in playground areas can also be picked up by young children, many of whom put them in their mouths. Now that's yucky. So help out and get your butt where it belongs...in the can.
