The City's Vision plan is administered through VSP.

The City’s Flex Plan is administered through National Benefit Services (NBS)
  • Pre-tax: Medical reimbursement plan up to $2,500 calendar year 
  • Dependent care reimbursement plan up to $5,000 calendar year 
 
 

The City provides a Basic Life Insurance policy on your behalf through Cigna. Your enrollment is automatic and the premium is paid for entirely by the City. The following chart highlights the benefits of these policies depending upon your employment status (add a drop down box from this):

Participation in the Wyoming Retirement System is required by State Statute. 

  • Public Employee Pension Plan – the employee’s contribution amount 8.25 percent of gross salary.  The City contributes 7.62 percent of gross salary.  (Please note that beginning July of 2015, the employer’s contribution will increase to 8.37 percent.)
  • Paid Fire B Pension Plan – the employee’s contribution amount is 9.245 percent of gross salary.  The City contributes 12 percent of gross salary.  
  • Law Enforcement Pension Plan - the employee’s contribution amount 8.6 percent of gross salary.  The City contributes 8.6 percent of gross salary.  
 
457 Retirement Savings Plan - As another retirement savings offering, the City of Casper offers ICMA-RC. Participation is voluntary and the employee may start a contribution at any time.  ICMA-RC offers Roth IRA, Roth 457 and a deferred compensation 457 options.
 
 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The City provides free confidential counseling services for all full-time employees and their immediate family members.

All full-time Employees begin accumulating vacation and sick leave from the first pay period. Vacation time can be used during the first year of service with permission of supervisor.

All full-time employees can earn vacation days.  Vacation accrual rate is based on years of service:

  • 0 through 4 years: 10 days annually
  • 5 through 9 years: 15 days annually
  • 10 through 14 years: 20 days annually
  • 15 through 19 years: 22 days annually
  • 20 years or more: 25 days annually
